Let's get screen printing
There are several different types of screen printing. Let’s sort out what type of printing that you are looking for.
The standard screen printed process is to use Plastisol Ink which has a slight feel when you run your hand across the print. It’s the most common and economical type of printing used today.
The next process is water based printing. It has a much softer feel on your garment because it is a much thinner ink that uses water and a colored pigment to absorb into the material of the shirt which leaves a nice soft feel but is slightly more expensive.
The final ink type is called Discharge Printing, what this process involves is laying down and ink that is similar to waterbase ink but instead of having a color that soaks into the garment, discharge ink actually removes the original color of the garment and replaces it with the new ink color. So the fabric is actually re-dyed with the ink color. This process provides the softest feel and will outlast the garment.
